How gem-themed slots tend to work

To put numbers on it, count how many symbols a win needs. If a small grid needs three matching stones to pay, wins come more often than on a layout that needs five. Fewer symbols required usually means smaller average wins. That trade is what paytables show.

Reading the paytable
