iPhones and iPads run apps under tighter rules than Android phones, and that changes the advice. There is no sideloaded file to chase. On 7 November 2026 KX8's public site showed a QR code for an iOS lite version next to the Android one. We did not test it, so this page explains the options and the checks, not the app's performance.
What lite means
The word lite usually signals a reduced version, with fewer features or a lighter design than a full app. We do not know which features KX8's lite edition leaves out, because we did not install it. If you need a particular feature, such as live video or the cashier, check it after you sign in.
The label only tells you the iPhone route is not the same as the Android route. Keep that in mind when a friend with an Android phone describes the app.
Shortcut versus app
A home-screen shortcut opens a website in a clean window with its own icon. It needs no install and no permissions beyond the browser. In Safari, open KX8's own site, tap the share icon and choose Add to Home Screen. The shortcut works like a bookmark with a nicer face.
The downside is that it behaves like a web page, so notifications and offline use may be limited.
| Option | Strength | Limit |
|---|---|---|
| iOS lite app | Own icon and screen | Features may be reduced |
| Home-screen shortcut | Nothing to install | Acts like a website |
| Plain Safari tab | Fastest to try | Easy to lose the tab |
Do not install Android files
An Android file will not run on an iPhone, so anything claiming to be one is wrong or fake. Equally, ignore profiles or certificates that a page asks you to trust in order to run an app. Those requests give a stranger deep access to your phone. Use only what KX8's own site instructs, and stop if a prompt feels out of place.
Where to go next
If you are choosing between devices, the app hub compares the routes. The install guide covers general steps and errors, and updates explain refreshing. Android users should see the Android page. Account trouble goes to the login guide.
Before you rely on this, open KX8's own site or app and confirm what it shows today.
