Blackjack is the live table where your choices matter most. Unlike baccarat, you decide whether to take another card, and those decisions change the odds. This guide explains the objective, the main decisions and what to read in the rules before you sit. KX8 would host any tables; we are an independent guide and we do not quote KX8's table limits.
The goal and card values
Cards two to ten count face value, picture cards count ten and an ace counts one or eleven, whichever helps. You beat the dealer by finishing closer to 21 without exceeding it. Going over 21 is a bust, and the hand loses immediately.
A two-card 21, an ace plus a ten-value card, is blackjack and usually pays more than an ordinary win. The exact multiple is in the table rules; many tables use 3 to 2, but check yours.
Your main decisions
Each hand gives you a small menu. The right choice depends on your cards and the dealer's up card, which is the one dealt face up.
- Hit: take another card
- Stand: keep your total
- Double: double your bet for exactly one more card, where allowed
- Split: separate a pair into two hands with a second bet, where allowed
Basic strategy in one idea
Players use a chart called basic strategy, which gives the lowest-cost action for each hand and dealer card. The idea behind it is simple: stand on a strong total when the dealer is likely to bust, and hit a weak total when the dealer is likely to be strong. A chart narrows the house edge, but it does not remove it and it cannot predict the next card.
Live tables are dealt from shoes shuffled often, so counting cards is neither useful nor expected. Treat each hand as fresh.
Table rules to read
Check whether the dealer stands or hits on soft 17, what blackjack pays, whether doubling after a split is allowed and the min and max bet. Small differences move the long-run cost. At ৳100 a hand and about 60 hands an hour, ৳6,000 is staked each hour, so even a small change in rules matters over time.
Compare pacing with roulette and see the live casino hub for the other tables.
